Terms and conditions of Enjoylingua
In short: you buy an online language course. You pay once and keep access for life. You can start straight away, and by doing so you give up the legal 14-day cancellation period. If the course turns out not to be what you were looking for, you can still get your money back within 14 days of buying it. The details are below.
1. What we mean by
- We, us, our: Oxido Media B.V., trading as Enjoylingua (see section 2).
- You: the person who creates an account or buys something from us, as a consumer, so not for a business or profession.
- The platform: our learning environment, which you reach through the websites in section 2. This is where you follow your courses with your account.
- Course: an online language course on the platform, with lessons, explanations, word lists, dialogues, audio and exercises. A course is digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium.
- Bundle: two or more courses that you buy together for one price.
- Account: your personal access to the platform.
- Right of withdrawal: your legal right to cancel a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason (section 12).
- Money-back promise: our own promise that you get your money back within 14 days of buying if the course is not what you were looking for (section 13).
- Durable medium: a way of storing information so that you can read it again later unchanged, such as an email or a page with a fixed address.
2. Who we are

Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: 87209357
VAT number: NL864234831B01
These terms apply on enjoydutch.com and leuknederlandsleren.nl.
Under other names we also run websites in Dutch (Leuk talen leren and its language sites) and in Spanish (Aprendemos inglés, Palabras en inglés). The terms in those languages apply there.
The quickest way to reach us is by email or through the contact page. We reply on working days.
3. When these terms apply
- These terms apply to every account on the platform and to every purchase on the websites in section 2.
- You can read these terms on the Terms and conditions page before you buy. Every version stays at its own fixed address, and you can save or print it. The confirmation email after your purchase links to the exact version that applies to your purchase.
- The contract is concluded in English. These terms also exist in Dutch and Spanish, for our websites in those languages. For a purchase on an English-language website, this English version applies.
- If extra conditions apply to a particular course or offer, we tell you beforehand. If they contradict these terms, whatever is most favourable to you applies.
- If part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies. The invalid part is replaced by an arrangement that comes as close to it as possible.
4. What we offer
- Each course page tells you what you get and what it costs: the levels, modules and lessons, what is ready now and what is still to come (section 11).
- You can try the platform before you buy: some lessons are open to everyone.
- Obvious mistakes in our offer, such as a price that is clearly wrong, do not bind us.
- Images and examples on the website give a good idea of what you buy, but may not be exactly the same.
5. Your account
- You need an account to follow a course. Creating one is free. You sign up with an email address and a password.
- You can also buy without an account. We then ask for your name and email address and create an account for you at that address once you have paid. If that address already has an account, your purchase is added to it.
- You must be 16 or older to create an account. If you are younger, a parent or guardian creates the account and buys for you.
- Your account is personal. Do not share your login details or let anyone else learn in your account.
- Make sure your email address is correct. We send your confirmations and the link to your invoice there.
- If you think someone else can get into your account, let us know as soon as possible and choose a new password.
- You can delete your account yourself at any time, under Account. What then happens to your data is explained in the privacy policy. Please note: deleting your account also ends your access to what you bought. You do not get a refund for that, unless the money-back promise (section 13) is still running.
6. How you buy
- The steps: you choose a course or bundle and see the price including VAT. You tick the box about your right of withdrawal (section 12) and click Order and pay. You then go to the payment page of our payment provider, Mollie.
- Correcting mistakes: until you click Order and pay, you can change anything or go back. You can also stop on Mollie's payment page; nothing has been bought then.
- The contract is concluded as soon as we receive your payment.
- After paying, you receive a confirmation email. It contains what you bought, the price with VAT, your order and invoice number, a link to your invoice, a link to the fixed version of these terms that applies to your purchase, what you ticked about your right of withdrawal (with the time), and the money-back promise from section 13.
- What we keep: we keep your order together with the version of the terms and what you ticked. You can find your orders and invoices under your orders.
- We may refuse an order for a good reason, for example misuse or fraud. We then let you know as soon as possible, and if you had already paid, you get your money back.
7. Prices and VAT
- All prices on the platform are in euros and include VAT. There are no extra costs.
- The price you see when you order is the price you pay. A later price change does not apply to your order.
- VAT of your own country. We charge the VAT of the EU country where you live. Wherever you live in the EU, you pay the same price; only the VAT part of it may differ. Your invoice shows the rate and the amount.
- To know which VAT applies, we ask which country you live in when you order, and record two further indications (see the privacy policy).
- At the moment we only sell to consumers who live in the European Union.
- We may change our prices for new orders. If you get a discount or an introductory price, we show until when it applies.
8. Payment
- You pay when you order, through Mollie. The payment page shows which methods you can use.
- Prefer a bank transfer? Email us and we will arrange it. You get access as soon as the money has arrived.
- An order that has not been paid after 24 hours expires. You can simply order again.
- After you pay, we create an invoice. You can find it under your orders, where you can print it or save it as a PDF. If we refund you, a credit note appears there too.
9. Delivery
- As soon as we receive your payment, the course appears in your overview and you can start. There is no need to wait for an email.
- Paid, but still no access after an hour? Let us know and we will sort it out.
- You need an internet connection and a recent version of a common browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge, on your computer, tablet or phone. For the audio you need speakers or headphones.
10. Lifetime access
- When you buy a course, you have lifetime access to it. You pay once; there is no subscription and nothing to cancel.
- "Lifetime" means: for as long as you have your account and for as long as we offer the platform. It does not mean the course will always stay exactly as it is now.
- Improvements and additions. We may improve a course, for example by fixing a mistake, making an explanation clearer or replacing a recording. Anything we add to a course later is included at no extra cost.
- A change that works out worse for you. We do not remove parts that are essential to what you bought, unless there is a good reason and we replace them with something equivalent. If a change still makes the course significantly worse for you, we tell you beforehand, and you may end the contract within 30 days. You then get a reasonable part of your money back.
- If the platform closes, we tell you at least six months in advance. You keep your access until the last day, and we make sure you can save the course material for yourself during that time.
- If we stop selling a course, your access continues.
- If you delete your account, your access ends (section 5.7). We never delete an account that was used to buy something just because it has not been used for a long time.
11. A course that is still growing
- A course may consist of parts that we release one after another, for example level A1 first and A2 later. The course page shows what is ready now, what is still to come and roughly when we expect it.
- You get the parts still to come at no extra cost as soon as they are ready. We let you know by email.
- If a part that we promised when you bought the course has not arrived within six months of the date we gave, you may end the contract for that part. You then get back the share of the price that belongs to that part, or the full price if the course is of no use to you without it.
12. Your right of withdrawal
- In principle you have 14 days to change your mind. When you buy online, you may cancel the purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. The 14 days start on the day the contract is concluded.
- With a course you start straight away, and then the right of withdrawal ends. Because you can use a course as soon as you have paid, we ask you to tick this box when you buy: "I want to start straight away. I understand that I therefore lose my right of withdrawal (the 14-day cancellation period)." By ticking it, you expressly ask us to open the course for you immediately, and you confirm that you know you lose your right of withdrawal as a result. We confirm this by email after you have paid. From the moment the course is open to you, you can no longer withdraw. The money-back promise from section 13 still applies.
- You cannot buy a course without ticking that box. You see this before you pay.
- If we did not ask properly or did not confirm it, you keep your right of withdrawal, even if you have already used the course. If you then withdraw in time, you get all your money back and pay nothing for what you already used. That follows from the law.
- How to withdraw. Use the button next to your order under your orders, or withdraw without logging in. You can also email us within the period at [email protected], or send a message through the contact page, with your name, your order number and the fact that you are withdrawing. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. We confirm your withdrawal by email straight away.
- Refund. We refund you within 14 days of your withdrawal, using the same payment method, unless you agree to something else. Your access to the course then ends.
13. Our money-back promise
- Separately from your right of withdrawal, we promise this for every course and every bundle: if it is not what you were looking for, ask for your money back within 14 days of buying. The 14 days start on the day the contract is concluded (section 6.3).
- You ask with the Ask for a refund button next to your order, through withdraw, or by emailing [email protected] or sending a message through the contact page with your order number. You do not have to give a reason.
- You get the full amount back, even if you have already started and even if you ticked the box in section 12.2. We refund you within 14 days of your request, using the same payment method unless you agree to something else, and you receive a credit note.
- Your access to what you bought then ends; for a bundle, to all the courses in it.
- This promise does not limit the rights the law gives you (section 14).
14. What you can expect from us
- The course and the platform are as described on their page and as you can reasonably expect, for as long as you have access.
- If something does not work, tell us as soon as possible. We fix it within a reasonable time and at no cost to you.
- If we cannot fix it, or not within a reasonable time, you have the rights the law gives you, such as a price reduction or ending the contract.
- The platform may occasionally be unavailable for a short time, for example for maintenance. We keep this as short as possible and, where we can, do it outside busy hours.
15. What you may do with the course material
- All course material on the platform, such as texts, exercises, audio and images, belongs to us or to those who gave us permission to use it.
- Your purchase gives you the right to follow the course yourself, for your own use. You may not copy, resell, share or publish the material, or use it to teach others.
- You may make notes and print parts for your own study.
- If you would like to use the material in a group or in your own lessons, please ask us. This is only allowed with our written permission.
16. Ending or blocking your account
- You can always delete your account yourself (section 5.7).
- We may block or end your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by sharing your account or distributing course material. We warn you first, unless that cannot reasonably be expected of us, and we tell you why.
- If we end your account without you having done anything wrong, you get back the full amount you paid for your courses.
17. Liability
- We do our best to keep the platform working well and securely, but we cannot promise it will never have a fault.
- A course helps you learn a language, but we do not promise a result, such as passing an exam or reaching a particular level. How much you learn also depends on how much you practise.
- If we are liable for damage, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the course concerned. This limit does not apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow such a limit.
- We are not liable for damage caused by you sharing your login details with others.
18. Complaints
- If you have a complaint about a course, the platform or us, let us know at [email protected] or through the contact page. Describe as clearly as possible what is wrong.
- Within 5 working days we confirm by email that we have received your complaint, with a reference number. Within 14 days you get a full reply. If we need more time, we tell you within those 14 days when you will hear from us.
- If we cannot resolve it together, you can go to court (section 19). We are not a member of a dispute resolution body.
19. Applicable law and courts
- Dutch law applies to these terms and to every purchase.
- If you live in another country of the European Union, you keep the protection that the mandatory consumer law of your country gives you.
- Any dispute goes to the court that has jurisdiction under the law. As a consumer you can always go to the court where you live.
20. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
21. Changes to these terms
- We may change these terms. We publish a new version on the platform at least 30 days before it takes effect, and for a significant change we also tell you by email.
- A purchase is always governed by the version that applied when you bought. A later change never reduces your rights for an earlier purchase.
- If you do not agree with a new version, you can delete your account before it takes effect.
Model withdrawal form
You can also withdraw or ask for a refund online straight away: with the button next to your order under your orders, or without logging in through withdraw. You then get a confirmation by email immediately.
Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract. An email or a message through the contact page with the same details works just as well.
